A one-minute painted explainer of how this planner turns four promo milestones into a reach curve and a status, followed by what impressions really measure and where to read more.
This planner maps the promotional run-up to Abbott Elementary's sixth season, which the tool pegs for October seventh on ABC. It starts with four milestones, counted in days before the premiere: a poster reveal twenty days out, a trailer at twelve, a cast press tour at five, and the premiere itself. Each one carries an estimated reach. The chart stacks them in date order: ninety-five thousand, then two hundred thirty-five thousand after the trailer, two eighty-five after the press tour, and three hundred eighty-five thousand by air time. Tick a milestone to mark it done. One of four is complete, so the status reads On Track. None done means Needs Kickoff; all four, Fully Executed. The reach total counts every milestone, finished or not. Two cautions. These reach figures are the tool's placeholders, and impressions are not people: one viewer who sees both the poster and the trailer is counted twice. And the Target Baseline Reach box is stored, but changes no number. Try adding a milestone eight days out, and the total climbs to four hundred thirty thousand. Or untick the poster, and watch the status flip back to Needs Kickoff.
Projected reach is simply the sum of every milestone's impressions: 95,000 + 140,000 + 50,000 + 100,000 = 385,000 by default. The chart orders milestones by days before the premiere and plots the running total: 95k at T-20, 235k at T-12, 285k at T-5, 385k at the premiere.
Campaign Status depends only on how many milestones are ticked: none is Needs Kickoff, all is Fully Executed, anything between is On Track. Dates don't affect it, and reach includes pending milestones too.
An impression is one showing of a piece of content. Reach is the number of distinct people who saw it at least once. Adding impressions across a poster, a trailer and a broadcast double-counts anyone who saw more than one, so the total overstates how many people the campaign reached.
Target Baseline Reach (default 90,000) is saved into the campaign state but isn't used in any calculation, so changing it leaves every output unchanged.
Abbott Elementary is Quinta Brunson's workplace mockumentary set in a Philadelphia public elementary school, broadcast on ABC since December 2021. The October 7, 2026 premiere date is the tool's, taken from a press report it cites.

How does this planner derive cumulative promotional reach across milestone timelines leading to a broadcast premiere?
This planner visualizes promotional schedules and estimates total impressions leading backwards from an air date. Rather than reporting empirical television ratings or verified social engagement, the model calculates reach by taking user-specified milestone impressions and running a direct cumulative sum sorted in descending order of lead days (T minus days). Each milestone checkbox updates execution tallies and campaign status, while the SVG trajectory maps progressive audience reach over the countdown window.
All reach figures and milestone schedules are user-configured planning assumptions rather than audited ABC broadcast ratings, verified Nielsen metrics, or actual social media impression logs. The model assumes independent, additive impressions without adjusting for unique viewer deduplication, cross-platform audience overlap, advertising decay, or actual broadcast transmission time.
Under the default setup, the four milestones carry estimates of 95,000 (First Poster Reveal at T-20d), 140,000 (Trailer Drop at T-12d), 50,000 (Press Tour at T-5d), and 100,000 (Season Premiere at T-0d). Adding these sequentially gives cumulative markers of 95,000, 235,000, 285,000, and finally 385,000 impressions displayed on the status ribbon. Clicking the checkbox next to Official Trailer Drop updates the completion counter from 1 / 4 to 2 / 4 milestones without altering the calculated impression trajectory.
The tool orders campaign milestones by days before release in descending sequence (from earliest promotional event to the premiere air date at day 0). The D3 timeline renders cumulative impressions by running an accumulator across the sorted list. Changing individual reach numbers directly scales the peak of the chart and the status banner without running external audience attribution models.
Campaign status transitions through three predetermined programmatic labels based solely on milestone completion count: 'Needs Kickoff' when 0 milestones are checked, 'Fully Executed' when all milestones are checked, and 'On Track' for any intermediate count.
