Why Timelines Matter in Negotiations
Insurance claims adjusters frequently scrutinize treatment gaps. Documenting the exact date symptoms emerged, when care was sought, and each adjuster contact prevents mischaracterization of delayed or interrupted treatment.
Adjuster Statements & Redaction
Recorded statements given without counsel can be taken out of context. Our tool allows you to note the timestamp and identity of insurer requests, keeping factual summaries organized while keeping PII redacted on initial intake.
Information Retention & Privacy
All inputs, impact points, and loss estimates are processed in client-side memory. Nothing is sent to a backend server or saved outside your local browser session unless you explicitly export your encrypted file.

Checklist predicates, documentary ratios, and impact refresh behavior
Read the explanation
This saved accident timeline is a checklist organizer, not a verified legal readiness assessment. The sample has six events, five marked as having documents, so its rounded attached ratio is eighty-three percent. Yet all seven checklist predicates pass, giving one hundred percent consultation ready. The entered costs are one hundred eighty-five, twenty-six hundred fifty, seven hundred fifteen, and thirteen hundred dollars, totaling forty-eight hundred fifty. These amounts are typed sample values, not verified damages or an award estimate. Document status is a flag; the source does not ingest or inspect an attachment. Some checklist labels promise more than their exact code checks. The same-day or urgent medical item checks only that a medical record has critical severity; it never compares its date to the collision date. The wage or out-of-pocket item accepts any positive cost, even a medical bill. The documentary proof item says greater than seventy-five percent, but uses greater-than-or-equal: three yes-document flags among four records passes exactly seventy-five percent. The follow-up item merely counts two medical entries. These predicates describe the saved implementation, not a legal standard or confirmation that a medical visit was timely or relevant. Clicking the vehicle diagram changes the stored impact-point list and its point counter. Removing the sample rear point changes the counter from one to zero, but the readiness cards do not immediately recompute. They continue to show seven of seven until a record action refreshes the checklist. A fresh export modal computes the current checklist independently, so it can disagree with the stale page cards. JSON always includes the actual impact-point identifiers and all stored events, even under a category filter. Use the actual exported record and a fresh checklist refresh to inspect this source behavior. The diagram is a user-selected map, not reconstruction of an actual collision.
Understanding the Consultation Chronology & Readiness Benchmarks
How does the timeline builder calculate documentation ratios, out-of-pocket costs, and consultation readiness scores?
This tool is a private, client-side organizer that structures collision events, expenses, and impact areas into a consultation brief. It calculates total expenses by summing valid loss entries, computes documentation completeness as the ratio of verified documents to logged events, and grades intake readiness using seven internal rules.
The 7-point readiness checklist, 75% documentation target, and vehicle zone mapper are client-side organizational heuristics. They do not constitute formal legal advice, police collision reconstruction, or statutory evidentiary rules.
Try a worked example
Click the 'Crash' tab in the Chronology category filter. Notice that the visible entries narrow from 6 total events to 1 Crash entry, while the top metrics bar continues to display the full case totals ($4,850.00 documented costs and 83% documentation attachment).
Document Verification Ratio Computation
The Document Verification percentage shown on the metrics dashboard evaluates the proportion of timeline entries marked with verified documentation on file. Specifically, it divides the count of records where documentation is marked 'yes' by the total number of logged events, rounding to the nearest whole percentage. In the preset case, 5 out of 6 records are documented, resulting in 83% Attached.
The Seven-Item Readiness Audit Heuristic
The Attorney Consultation Readiness score evaluates an internal 7-point heuristic: (1) presence of police/incident records, (2) urgent or same-day medical evaluation, (3) adverse driver or insurer identification, (4) at least one vehicle impact zone selected, (5) documented proof ratio of at least 75%, (6) at least one recorded out-of-pocket or wage expense, and (7) two or more medical appointments. When all seven criteria are satisfied, the audit badge marks the preparation complete.
