What Personal Injury Attorneys Look For in Initial Consultations

Lawyers evaluate liability clarity, insurance coverage limits, immediate medical documentation, and total verifiable damages.

1. Immediate Medical Trail

Insurance adjusters heavily scrutinize any "gap in care." Seeking emergency or urgent care within 24–72 hours provides official medical corroboration of injuries sustained directly from the impact.

2. Objective Physical Evidence

Photos of vehicle resting positions, skid marks, road conditions, and deployed airbags outweigh contradictory verbal recollections. Badge numbers and police CAD incident reports lock down the neutral record.

3. Statements & Recorded Calls

You are under no legal obligation to provide a recorded statement to the other driver's insurer before retaining legal counsel. Anything said can be used by adjusters to argue comparative fault.

Why do search ads for 'car accident lawyer near me 24/7' trigger different law firms?

Search engines match search queries against advertiser keyword lists, geographic targeting, and ad-copy relevance. An advertiser targeting general terms may have negative keyword exclusions or specific ad copy variations requiring '24/7' or specific municipal terms before their bid enters the live real-time auction.

Is my data secure in this dossier studio?

Yes. All timeline processing, redaction masking, date math, and dossier compilation happen entirely in your local browser sandbox using standard Web APIs. No text, financial totals, or personal details leave your computer.

Does this tool constitute legal representation or advice?

No. This is a neutral evidentiary organization tool. It does not evaluate claim settlement value, predict jury outcomes, or establish an attorney-client relationship. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for legal advice.

Totals, filters and selective redaction

Read the explanation

This timeline combines entered amounts across every record. In the saved intersection example, five events contain only two positive amounts: four thousand eight hundred fifty, and twenty eight thousand five hundred. Their sum is thirty three thousand three hundred fifty. The blue and green segments use the same scale, point zero one pixels per currency unit. Their final widths are forty eight point five and two hundred eighty five pixels. Choosing the medical filter displays one card, but the count remains five and the total remains thirty three thousand three hundred fifty. The metric sums the full events array, not the visible subset. Evidence labels count recorded choices rather than verified documents. The fictional sample is not a validated incident, medical assessment or compensation estimate. The span metric sorts timestamps, subtracts earliest from latest, divides milliseconds by the length of a twenty four hour day, and rounds. It then floors a multi-record result at one day. For a hypothetical two-record example separated by twelve hours, the raw interval is point five days and the display is one day. At thirty six hours the raw interval is one point five days and the display is two days. The two colored bars share a scale of one hundred sixty pixels per day, producing eighty and two hundred forty pixels before rounding. These are elapsed-time illustrations, not inclusive calendar-day counts or filing deadlines. A single record also displays one day, while an empty timeline displays zero. Privacy redaction has three different paths. On screen, the source masks matching social security numbers, phone patterns and labeled claim, policy, badge or citation identifiers in titles and notes. The text brief uses narrower replacements: social security patterns in titles, and social security plus phone patterns in notes. It does not apply the labeled identifier rule. JSON exports the original events unchanged and merely records that the switch was enabled. Thus a masked card does not establish that every download is sanitized. The three expanding bars represent rule families, not how many people are protected: three screen families, two text families, and zero JSON masking families. The scale is ninety pixels per family. Inspect each exported file before sharing it. This explanation preserves the existing behavior and makes no guarantee of privacy or legal suitability.
