Agent Deal Lifecycle and Handoff Arbitration

How does an autonomous agent deal transition through verification, dispute detection, and human escalation?

Autonomous transaction systems advance multi-agent agreements across progressive stages: deal agreement, evidence collection, automated verification, dispute detection, and exception handoff. When automated validation fails or falls below acceptable certainty, execution halts to allow arbitration or manual human overrides before final settlement.

This console uses a static five-node state flow and a stylized linear cost equation rather than live blockchain or multi-agent messaging protocols. Decision costs and jury confidence percentages are simulated fixtures, not empirical financial or computational metrics.

Try a worked example

Click the 'Create manual override' button. The transaction state updates to 'HANDOFF / HUMAN REVIEW REQUESTED' and the footer status switches to 'Manual override authored', signaling that automated execution has paused for human intervention.

Multi-Step Verification Flow

The transaction lifecycle follows five nodes: Request, Deal, Evidence, Dispute, and Handoff. In production agent architectures, evidence collection requires deterministic verification such as cryptographic signatures, API response receipts, or proof hashes before funds or deliverables transfer.

Exception Routing and Override Mechanics

When agents produce contradictory state outputs or unverifiable claims, automated rails cannot safely settle. The console models this deadlock by transitioning to a Handoff state where a human operator or decentralized jury can author an override and export an auditable Markdown report.

Read the explanation

The confidence slider defaults to sixty. The source computes point zero four cents plus confidence times point zero zero one seven, yielding point one four two cents and displaying point one four. At one hundred the formula gives point two one cents. Both bars use nineteen hundred pixels per cent. These are assumed teaching costs, not billed fees, measured validator confidence or actual economic evidence. The diagram contains five fixed nodes and four connecting edges. Clicking a node updates its description and selected state. The manual override button sets a boolean and changes the labels to human review requested. Neither action routes a transaction, verifies a receipt or contacts a reviewer. Bars count the stored topology objects. The selected node and authored override flag are written to a Markdown report. The source declares replay as a boolean, shadowing the replay button identifier. Its later replay dot onclick assignment addresses that boolean rather than the DOM button, so the intended replay handler is not installed. In offline checks p5 is absent and initialization throws even earlier, before later controls are bound. This draft preserves the original page instead of silently fixing it; healthy canvas and replay behavior remain unverified.
