What changes the home-run trajectory model

Read the explanation

This page uses fixed leaderboard fixtures and generates thirty six synthetic blast points per hitter. The simulator is a separate authored trajectory approximation. At a twenty eight degree launch angle, raising exit velocity from ninety five to one hundred eighteen miles per hour increases modeled distance from three hundred eighty one to five hundred eighty eight feet. The distance formula scales with velocity squared. Fence clearance subtracts a fixed three hundred ninety feet, so this example moves from nine feet short to one hundred ninety eight feet beyond that threshold. Hold speed at one hundred miles per hour and change launch angle. The range formula contains sine of twice the angle. At fifteen degrees, the model returns two hundred fifty five feet; at thirty, four hundred forty one; at forty five, five hundred nine. The returned apex also rises. These arches use the model’s returned range and apex on fixed scales. They visualize the authored formula, not measured ball tracking or a full aerodynamic solver. Spray angle rotates the landing point on the SVG, but is not used by the numeric distance, apex or hang time calculation. At the same speed and launch angle, changing spray from minus forty five to plus forty five moves the point while those metrics stay unchanged. Stadium selection changes the drawn wall and resets the selected blast, yet the simulator’s fence threshold remains three hundred ninety feet. Filter or select generated points, compare input effects, and export the JSON to distinguish stored fixtures from calculated results.
