How Apple Reference Image Works: At the physical moment of shutter release inside the iPhone 18 Pro, the camera sensor transfers pixel blocks directly to the Secure Enclave. A localized Merkle tree hash matrix is generated and signed with the hardware-fused device key. Any downstream alteration—even changing a single pixel or splicing synthetic AI elements—invalidates the block signature and is forensically isolated on the heatmap.
