Fancy Haptics DSP Pipeline Architecture

The Steam Controller possesses no traditional voice-coil audio speakers or weighted eccentric rotating mass (ERM) motors. Instead, it utilizes dual magnetic Linear Resonant Actuators (LRAs) beneath each haptic trackpad.

WASAPI Loopback Capture: Direct non-blocking ring buffer
Vibrate Mode DSP: Envelope follower modulating 160Hz pulse bursts
Sound (Singing) Mode: Direct AC current excitation vibrating actuator mass
Multi-band Filtering: 4-pole Biquad IIR filters with zero phase delay
Live Diagnostics & Buffer Underrun Telemetry
Buffer Health: 100% (Zero Underruns)
Effective Latency (Audio + DSP): 12.4 ms
Sub-Bass Rumble Energy: 64%
Acoustic Singing Energy: 18%
