WNBA Saturday Slate Matchup & Possession Lab
Simulate possession pace, shot distribution, and Dean Oliver Four Factors across the Saturday tripleheader slate. Tap the court to test shot-location conversion dynamics and run 1,000 possession iterations.
How the Saturday Slate Simulator Works
The WNBA Saturday tripleheader presents three high-stakes matchups in the 2026 Postseason Push. Each team possesses distinct statistical signatures: perimeter spacing, defensive rebounding rates, and transition turnover control.
This tool pairs DraftKings betting market odds (implied spreads & game totals) with Dean Oliver's authoritative Four Factors of Basketball Success: Effective Field Goal % (40% weight), Turnover Rate (25%), Offensive Rebound % (20%), and Free Throw Rate (15%).
Interactive Court Model & Shot Geometry
The court visualizer simulates an official FIBA/WNBA half-court (22.15-ft three-point arc and 19-ft lane). Shot probability is modeled dynamically based on euclidean distance from the rim, corner discount, and contest rating.
How are 1,000-game simulations computed?
Each simulated game draws possessions via Poisson process scaled to the user's Pace slider. Each possession is evaluated sequentially for turnover risk, initial shot selection, offensive putback opportunity, or free throw trips, matching exact empirical NBA/WNBA variance.
