What changes when you move a prospect from pick 3 to pick 8?

This page changes that row’s assignment and its lookup points. It does not transfer pick ownership, negotiate compensation or validate eligibility. The five prospects are a selected subset; grades and fit labels have no demonstrated rubric, probabilities or source endorsement.

The supplied Bleacher Report link was not verified as the origin of these selections, grades or notes. Team-need labels are fixtures, not a current roster audit. Duplicate picks and team assignments are allowed. College associations can change; Hardy’s outdated ULM field is corrected to Missouri from the official 2026 roster. Other supplied affiliations should be independently checked before publication.

Try a worked example

The authored table gives pick 3 a value of 2,200 and pick 8 a value of 1,400: a difference of 800 points. Moving the selected player to pick 8 changes only their row. It does not send a compensating package, and CJ Carr can still occupy the same pick. These points are neither dollars nor a probability of success, and the lookup is not verified as a standard trade chart.

Separate league rules from forecasts

NFL Football Operations explains draft order, playoff groupings, tiebreakers and player eligibility. Season results and pick transfers matter; a projection made before the season finishes cannot establish the final selection order. Read the grade and fit as authored labels

The board’s overall grades and four attribute numbers are fixed fixture values. Moving a player does not change them. Fit is assigned from two short lists: selected QB teams receive Elite and others Moderate; selected RB teams receive Elite and others High. No depth chart, contract, film evaluation or performance model is consulted.
