About the 10-Point Must Scoring Engine & Unified Boxing Rules Criteria
Official ABC Unified Rules Criteria (Priority Order):
  1. Effective Punching: Clean, heavy blows landed with the knuckle portion of the glove; damage and immediate impact outweigh light volume.
  2. Effective Aggressiveness: Moving forward while landing punches and avoiding counters, not merely pressing forward and absorbing damage.
  3. Ring Generalship: Controlling the pace, ring geography, creating opportunities, and forcing the opponent to fight at an unnatural rhythm.
  4. Effective Defense: Parrying, slipping, dodging, or blocking punches to create counter-offensive scoring chances.
Scoring Deductions & 10-8 Thresholds:
  • 10-9 Round: Clear winner who lands more effective punches without scoring a knockdown.
  • 10-8 Round: Winner lands a knockdown OR dominates a round so severely through sustained damage that a 10-8 is mandated without a knockdown.
  • 10-7 Round: Two or more knockdowns in a single round with overwhelming dominance.
  • Referee Deductions: Fouls (low blows, holding, rabbit punches) subtract point(s) after round calculation.
