Campaign time budgets and the schedule denominator

Read the explanation

The saved campaign planner starts with forty base story hours. Its default hard-classic setting adds twenty, maximum bonds adds thirty, and full exploration adds thirty-five. Those categories sum to one hundred twenty-five hours. The story-only preset instead combines forty with five support hours and no other additions, for forty-five. Bars compare the two assumed totals at four pixels per hour. These stored hour tables are an authored planning rubric, not measured game completion times, verified future title specifications or a prediction for an individual player. Difficulty, replay, reading speed, failure, accessibility and pauses can change actual time without being represented. With ten weekly hours, the default one hundred twenty-five divides into twelve point five weeks. The hardcore preset adds forty-five difficulty, forty-five bonds and thirty-five exploration to the forty-hour base, totaling one hundred sixty-five. Its fifteen weekly hours reduce the displayed schedule to eleven weeks despite the larger campaign budget. Bars compare twelve point five and eleven at forty pixels per week. The shorter result arises from a larger denominator, not less work. The source rounds weeks to one decimal instead of counting calendar dates, and its burndown visual is a projection rather than observed progress or a guarantee that a schedule can be maintained. The daily label divides weekly availability by five point five assumed active days and rounds to one decimal. Ten weekly hours therefore show one point eight daily hours; fifteen show two point seven. Bars compare those rounded labels at two hundred pixels per daily hour. The denominator does not come from the selected player calendar, so it should not be interpreted as a required daily habit. Campaign adjectives depend only on total-hour thresholds at sixty, ninety and one hundred twenty. An epic label is an authored classification rather than a review of quality. Native preset, full JSON export and reset are preserved, while other controls, actual game duration and schedule outcomes remain unverified.
