Stage 5: Voluntary Surrender & Bail Application (Rule 114)
Once an arrest warrant is signed, the accused may submit voluntarily to the court's jurisdiction or be taken into custody. Under Philippine Rule 114, bail is a matter of right for all offenses not punishable by Reclusion Perpetua or Life Imprisonment when evidence of guilt is not strong.
