How the Unified MMA Scoring Model & Tactical Engine Works

The simulator implements the official Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts criteria for scoring rounds and resolving collision physics inside the 30-foot UFC cage. Rather than arbitrary random dice rolls, every second of combat accounts for striking range, stamina expenditure, cage cutting, and grappling scramble leverage.

1. Effective Striking & Grappling (Tier 1 Priority)

Under modern MMA judging criteria, effective striking and grappling is the primary criterion to determine the winner of a round. Damage that carries immediate fight-ending potential (clean overhands, head kicks, tight chokes, violent slams) heavily supersedes cumulative light jabs or stagnant top control time without ground-and-pound.

2. Stamina Depletion & Velocity Curves

Fighters starting with frantic output (e.g., Diego Lopes’ trademark round-one explosions) risk cardiovascular deceleration if they fail to find an early finish. In contrast, durable veteran pressure fighters like Charles Oliveira leverage Thai clinch knees, front kicks to the solar plexus, and submission traps to drain opponents over 15 minutes.
