What this gate can and cannot see
NER and typed spans solve different parts
Compromise finds English person names and offsets. Exact parsers handle common email, phone, address, IPv4, and account-handle structures. Their evidence remains separately labeled.
Precedence prevents double counting
An email contains an @ sign, but the longer typed email wins the overlap, so it is not also reported as an account handle. Repeated normalized values reuse one placeholder.
No finding is not a safety guarantee
Unusual formats, indirect clues, images, metadata, context, and model misses may remain. This is a local review aid, not identity lookup, legal advice, threat assessment, or a publication decision.
