Due to extreme pulsar gravitational gradients, PSR J2322-2650b stretches into a prolate lemon shape where its sub-pulsar tidal axis (a) exceeds polar radius (c). As the elongated body transits across the pulsar line of sight, the non-spherical projected chord creates an asymmetric light curve signature.
