Pass Chart & Pressure Distribution
0 Throws LoggedThe 2.50s Threshold
Modern NFL quarterbacks have an average time-to-throw between 2.45 and 2.70 seconds. Rookie QBs frequently struggle because they hold the ball an extra 0.4 seconds waiting for receivers to be "college open".
Stepping Up vs. Drifting Back
When edge rushers speed-rush around the tackles, drifting backward deepens their angle and causes sacks or strips. Stepping up 2 yards into the interior pocket gives linemen leverage and creates clean throwing lanes.
Hot Reads Against Zero Blitz
When the defense brings six rushers with Cover 0 (no safety help), someone is unblocked. The QB must immediately recognize the vacated zone and deliver a decisive strike to the hot slant or checkdown.
Quarterback Rating & Passing Metric Formulas
Passer rating is computed using official NFL formula components: Completion percentage factor (a), Yards per attempt factor (b), Touchdown factor (c), and Interception factor (d), combined as ((a + b + c + d) / 6) * 100. Pocket pressure is triggered when rushers breach within 4.5 yards of the quarterback.
