Heinz Field Redzone Pocket

When Aaron Rodgers and franchise quarterbacks orchestrate fourth-quarter game-winning drives against AFC North defenses, the margin for error is razor-thin. This simulator models the exact timing constraints of NFL redzone passing:
- The 2.5-Second Threshold: NFL pass rushers collapse the perimeter edge in under 2.8 seconds. Stepping up 2 yards into the pocket resets your tackle's leverage angle.
- Zone Windows vs. Man Leverage: Against Cover 2, the void between the squatting cornerback and the deep half-safety requires a high-velocity hole shot with touch. Against Cover 1 Man, throws must lead the receiver away from trailing leverage.
- Throw Trajectory & Arc: High arm velocity lets you zip passes through closing safety breaks, but checkdown touch ensures running backs can turn upfield into the end zone.

How to pass to receivers
After clicking Snap Ball, either click directly on a receiver downfield (or ahead of them to lead them into space) or use the quick-throw buttons in the lower-right corner.
Stepping up vs. sliding in the pocket
When edge rushers sprint around your offensive tackles, use the Step Up button (or Up Arrow) to climb into the pocket. If a blitz comes up the middle, slide laterally.
Official NFL Passer Rating Calculation
Rating combines completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdown rate, and interception avoidance using the official four-factor formula capped at 158.3 maximum.
