The 140% Veteran Extension Rule

Under the 2023 NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement (Article VII, Section 7), veteran extensions may start at up to 140% of the player's previous year's salary or 140% of the estimated average player salary (whichever is greater), capped at the 35% Tier Maximum for players with 10+ seasons of service.
