Practical research for people doing the work

Make the scope clear.
Review every step.

A promotion-review workflow for adult subscription businesses and other age-sensitive categories, with a channel and destination brief.

Context

Review the post and destination together.

Consent

Keep the creator’s permission explicit.

Policy

Use the exact current platform rule.

Route

Choose a permitted distribution path.

A non-explicit preview does not automatically make the promotion permitted.

Review content, context and destination together

A clothed preview can still be part of a restricted solicitation or link flow. Evaluate the post, caption, profile, link page and final destination as one journey. An age gate does not override a platform prohibition, and changing a link’s appearance does not resolve the underlying rule.

Check the current policy for the exact platform and format before publishing. YouTube’s nudity and sexual-content policy illustrates that context and sexual gratification are relevant to its enforcement. Do not assume another service uses identical rules.

Protect consent and control

Use only content involving consenting adults with documented permission for the intended promotional use. Keep access to identity and consent records restricted to the people who need it. An agency should document account ownership, creator approval, permitted edits and revocation procedures.

Avoid making private personal information part of a public campaign record. The worksheet below should contain operational references, not identity documents, account passwords or sensitive imagery. Obtain appropriate legal review for jurisdiction-specific obligations.

Choose permitted routes rather than evasive ones

Do not design disguised links, coded solicitations or replacement accounts to evade a restriction. If the intended promotion is not permitted, choose a channel that allows the business category and meets the applicable audience requirements. Follow the platform’s review route when a decision appears mistaken.

For an agency, a sustainable operating process includes policy review, creator approval, versioned assets, distribution receipts and an owner for corrections. More accounts do not solve a prohibited destination or missing consent.

Document the actual decision

Record the rule URL and review date, the intended audience, the complete destination path and the responsible reviewer. Classify unresolved questions honestly. A checklist cannot certify that a piece of content is compliant, especially where context or local law matters.

The brief builder responds to the rule state you select. It does not inspect links, verify age or approve content. Use it to make the decision and missing evidence explicit before the campaign is scheduled.

The worksheet calculates in your browser. It does not connect to your social accounts. Examples are hypothetical. The site uses its usual analytics.

Put the evidence to work.

Does SFW imagery make every link allowed?

No. The full promotional context and destination still matter.

Does an age gate override a prohibition?

No. Check the actual rule and permitted use.

Does this tool approve a campaign?

No. It records a responsible review and unresolved questions.
