Eye-tracking studies (e.g. Ladders, 2018) put a recruiter's first pass at roughly 6–7 seconds. That pass decides whether your CV gets a real read. Toggle the practices below — the floating document rebuilds and your score updates. Then press Run 6-second scan to watch where a recruiter's eye actually goes.
Name → current title & company → previous title & company → dates → education. That's it. Recruiters scan in an F-pattern down the left edge. If your titles, employers and one big number aren't visible on that path, the rest of your careful prose never gets seen. One page (under ~5 years' experience), a single clean column and bold job titles exist to serve exactly this scan.
Formula: Action verb + what you did + measurable result. Numbers act as proof and as eye-anchors during the scan — a digit in a wall of text is where the eye stops. If you can't measure it, estimate honestly ("~30%", "about 2 days/week") or state scale ("across 12 client accounts").
