Total Units = Pure Downloads + (Audio Streams / 150) + (Video Streams / 150)

Official on-demand audio streams (Spotify Premium/Free, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal) and video streams (YouTube official videos, Vevo) count on parity for single track recognition.

Album Equivalent Units (TEA & SEA)

For album certifications, 10 track downloads = 1 Track Equivalent Album (TEA). For streaming (SEA), 1,250 subscription streams or 3,750 ad-supported/video streams equal 1 album unit.

Is Certification Automatic?

No. Record labels or artist management must formally request an independent audit conducted by Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman to inspect sales reports and streaming logs before plaques are certified.
