How Shot Lab Works

A practical tool for players and coaches to design progressive shooting programs. No accounts, no cloud — your plan stays in this browser.

Building a Drill Sequence

Tap anywhere on the half-court to place a shooting spot. Each tap adds a spot to your current sequence (up to the Spots in Sequence limit). Spots are numbered in order. Drag a spot to reposition it. The court shows NBA-range three-point line, restricted area, and key zones for reference.

Phases & Progression

Four phases mirror real development: Foundation (form, close range), Volume (high reps, NBA distance), Game Speed (movement, closeouts), Pressure (fatigue, consequences). Advance only when you hit your Target % consistently for the Weeks to Progress duration.

Presets Explained

Duncan's Daily — 5 spots around the arc, 20 reps each, 100 shots/day. Catch & Shoot — corners, wings, top. Off the Dribble — adds pull-up locations. Late-Game Fatigue — fewer spots, higher intensity, pressure tracking.

Saving & Exporting

Click Save Drill to Plan to add the current sequence to your weekly plan. Multiple drills combine into a full program. Export Full Plan downloads a JSON file with all drills, phases, volumes, and progression targets — ready for your training log or coach.

Persistence & Privacy

Your plan saves automatically to localStorage on this device. Close the tab, come back tomorrow — your drills are there. No data leaves your browser. Clear with Clear Sequence (current) or remove individual drills from the dropdown.

Duncan Robinson Context
