Why SynthID Survives: Removing the visible UI badge (the corner icon) alters only superficial pixels in that corner. The invisible SynthID watermark is modulated across all 8×8 Discrete Cosine Transform mid-frequency bands across the entire image. Even with heavy JPEG loss and cropping, the cryptographic pseudo-random correlation signature remains mathematically detectable.
