Geometric Difference: 8-Man vs 11-Man

Standard 8-man football is played on a field 80 yards long by 40 yards wide (or 100x40), compared to the NFL's 100x53.3 yard canvas. While the width is 25% narrower, removing 6 players (3 per team) creates 25% more open turf per player.

The Uso Seumalo Blueprint

Prior to dominating the defensive line at Kansas State and earning a Seahawks camp roster invitation, Uso Seumalo developed his athletic foundation playing ironman 8-man football.

Defensive Leverage & Gap Integrity

In NFL 11-man schemes, defenses employ 1-gap or 2-gap principles with 7-man boxes. In 8-man, missing a single gap assignment immediately leads to explosive perimeter breakaways.
