However, multi-hundred-keV 1-billion-atom molecular dynamics (MD) reveals that dense overlapping subcascades generate thermal spike shockwaves that push interstitials into massive surviving prismatic dislocation loops ($>50$ interstitials), shifting damage accumulation into a superlinear regime.
