Why didn't Michigan call timeout or protect the boundary?
With 2 seconds left, defenses expect quick hitches or jump-balls. Heavy blitz schemes attempt to force an errant throw before route development. However, an orchestrated rub route exploits defender traffic, freeing the target receiver into the boundary pylon for a split-second window.
