How long can an iPhone ringtone be?
Ringtones are capped at 30 seconds (text tones at 10 seconds). This trimmer enforces the 30-second limit so your clip always works.
Why WAV and not M4R directly?
Browsers can reliably write uncompressed WAV. GarageBand happily imports WAV and does the final conversion to the ringtone format when you use Share, then Ringtone.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The audio track is decoded entirely inside your browser using the Web Audio API. Close the tab and everything is gone.
My video has no sound or will not load
Some codecs (like certain HEVC or DRM-protected files) cannot be decoded by the browser. Try exporting the video again as a standard MP4, or use the sample demo tone to test the tool.
