Weekly deals, digital coupons, Register Rewards (RR), and Walgreens Cash (WC) sequencer
Walgreens reward mechanics have strict rules. Follow these to guarantee Register Rewards print and cash stays in your pocket.
Manufacturer RRs count as manufacturer coupons. You cannot have more manufacturer coupons than items in a single transaction. If you have 2 items and a $3 Mfr coupon + $4 RR, you need a $1 filler item (like Arizona tea or pencils) so item count ≥ coupon count.
Do not use a Register Reward earned from Deal A (e.g. Crest $3 RR) to pay for the exact same Crest deal in the next transaction, or a new RR will NOT print. Roll Crest RR into Tide, and Tide RR into Crest!
On "Spend $20, Get $5 W Cash" deals, paying with W Cash lowers your out-of-pocket below $20, so you won't earn the $5 W Cash. Pay with cash or Manufacturer Register Rewards instead—they count toward the spend threshold!
"Buy 2 Get $4 W Cash" can be paid with W Cash safely while still earning the reward. "Spend $X" promotions require actual cash or Manufacturer RR.
