Official WNBA Tiebreaker Hierarchy
In accordance with WNBA competition bylaws for postseason seeding:
- 1. Head-to-Head: Better winning percentage in head-to-head games between tied clubs.
- 2. Record vs .500+ Teams: Better winning percentage against teams with finished records of .500 or higher.
- 3. Point Differential: Point differential in head-to-head regular season games.
- Multi-Team Ties: Resolved systematically; once one team is awarded a seed, the remaining clubs revert to step 1 of their own comparison.
