Delivery before design
Ask whether the client needs a live dashboard, a frozen PDF for a meeting or both. A snapshot preserves the reviewed period; a live report can change as source data updates.
AgencyAnalytics fits repeatable branded client delivery. Databox fits dashboard-centered performance reviews. Google's reporting platform fits teams that want to control their own data model. Choose by workflow, then test your report with actual metrics.
Official product documentation checked October 5, 2026. Editorial recommendations are workflow judgments, not product test results.
There is no universal winner. Start with the client's delivery format, required data sources and permission model. Compare the exact connectors and plan entitlements you need before comparing subscription quotes. A report that requires constant manual repair can cost more to operate even when its license costs less.

This shortlist compares documented workflows, not twelve interchangeable products or a fabricated score. Current prices, connector availability and plan limits are not quoted here. Get a dated quote for your client count and use the cost workbench below.

Write down what a lead, conversion and revenue value means. Keep source date ranges, currency and attribution conventions consistent before combining channels.
Check one complete client's data and permissions before duplicating a template. An automated send still needs a named owner for data quality and interpretation.
Paste CSV or upload a local file. The native report calculations compare current and previous values, show progress toward optional targets, and export an editable client brief. Quoted CSV names and optional targets are supported.

Your input stays in this browser tab. No vendor account is connected and no report is sent. The page does arithmetic, not AI analysis; it does not infer causation, revenue attribution or campaign quality. Closing the tab clears inputs. Keep downloads for your records.
Enter your own subscription quote and measured reporting time. The demo figures are fictional examples, not vendor prices or observed savings. Freed labor capacity is not cash savings unless staffing cost actually changes.
Baseline cost = reports × baseline hours × staff cost. Candidate cost = subscription + connectors + residual labor + setup labor ÷ amortization months. Reporting contribution = entered reporting revenue − modeled reporting cost. This is not whole-agency profit.
Make the trial answer the questions your reporting team actually faces.
Pick an account with the data sources, currencies and stakeholders your agency commonly manages. Build the same reporting period in each shortlisted tool. Record setup work and recurring cleanup separately; do not assume the demo calculator's hours apply to your team.
Open the actual share path or client login using the intended permissions. Check whether the viewer can see other accounts, modify filters or access underlying data. Google's owner and viewer credential options have different access consequences; choose intentionally. Google's credential documentation.
AgencyAnalytics distinguishes live web reports from downloadable PDF snapshots. Databox documents scheduled dashboard snapshots. Decide which artifact should be retained for an approval meeting and which is suitable for ongoing monitoring. AgencyAnalytics; Databox.
Metric movements describe what changed; they do not explain why. Add the data caveats, the decision to make and the owner of the next action. In the report builder, that interpretation comes from your own commentary, rather than an invented automated conclusion.
Ask for the required client count, integrations, custom branding, users, historical data and delivery options. Enter the quote in the scenario calculator. Verify renewal terms and connector charges directly with the vendor; this guide does not assert current plan prices.
Percentage change cannot be calculated when the previous value is zero. The workbench shows “not defined” and retains the absolute values. It does not report infinite growth.
No. Choose higher or lower for each metric. Lower cost per lead may be desirable; lower qualified leads may not be. Target status follows your declared direction, not a guessed business goal.
Only when measurement definitions, period lengths, currencies and source rules match. The workbench accepts your numbers but cannot verify tracking, currency conversions or attribution.
Download a Markdown client brief, an editable JSON record or a CSV metric summary. Reports and files are produced locally. They are not uploaded or sent to clients. Add your review and approval process before distributing them.
