Algorithmic Aid Networks
Compare institutional humanitarian hierarchies with algorithmic peer-to-peer matching. Drag nodes to rewire connections, adjust algorithm parameters, and observe how aid reaches recipients under different coordination models.
How to use this simulation
Drag nodes to rewire donor–recipient connections in real time. Institutional view shows a fixed hierarchy; algorithmic view adapts based on your parameters.
Adjust sliders (algorithmic only): Matching Radius controls how far the algorithm searches for matches; Trust Decay reduces connection strength over time; Verification Threshold sets the minimum trust required for a transfer.
Select a scenario to load a preset: Disaster Response (many donors, urgent), Chronic Need (steady flow), Sudden Crisis (few donors, high urgency).
Watch particles flow from donors (top) through intermediaries to recipients (bottom). Metrics update live.
Export downloads the current network state with metrics as JSON. Reset restores the preset. Replay restarts the particle animation.
