What does a checked box establish about a supplier?
This tool builds prompt text and totals your reported checks. It contacts no model, registry, factory or certification body. A score describes checklist coverage, not verified supplier quality or purchase-order eligibility.
No field calibration, fraud probability, legal clearance or financial solvency assessment. Default checked boxes are sample inputs, not completed investigations. Category, HS code, region, certificates and order quantity affect the prompt only.
Try a worked example
The default inputs mark samples, audit, registry and payment terms: 25 + 25 + 15 + 20 = 85 points. Adding financial review yields 100. Removing it says only that this checkbox is unmarked; it does not establish bankruptcy or supplier refusal. The 90/60 bands are authored display rules, not evidence standards.
Verify the document and its scope
ISO develops standards but does not issue certifications. Certification and accreditation are different: check the issuing body, certificate status, site, scope and dates through relevant authoritative records or the body directly. A checked certification preference is not evidence that a manufacturer holds it. ISO: Certification
CE marking applies to products covered by relevant EU legislation; it is not EU approval or a general supplier credential. Determine the product and market requirements before requesting a mark. Ask for evidence without inventing precision
Require a current primary source, access date and evidence status for each claimed legal entity, production site, certification and lead time. Distinguish a company’s claim from independently corroborated evidence. If current research is unavailable, request a research plan and leave identities, registry IDs, floor area and factory status unknown.
NIST describes acceptance sampling as a lot acceptance decision, not an estimate of lot quality. AQL values alone do not specify a plan or guarantee a shipment’s defect percentage. Request the applicable standard, lot and sample sizes, defect classes, acceptance/rejection numbers and agreed inspection method instead of assuming 1.5/2.5.
