BMW dates the first Spartanburg X5 to September 1, 1999; Kith’s restored example is a 2000 model. These outlines are authored sketches, not dimensional comparisons.

Kith identifies this finish on the 2027 collaboration. The radial gradient and diffusion percentage are drawing choices, not a paint formula or measured reflectance.

Which details belong to the documented cars, and which are drawing controls?

Compare the recorded collaboration with an independent 2D design study. The controls change authored colors, gradients and clipping; they do not reproduce a factory build or measure materials.

No affiliation, chassis verification, measured paint response or manufacturing dimensions. The three presets are editable illustrations, not purchasable specifications. No dedicated Reset exists; reload restores all defaults, while presets retain the current mode, light angle and comparison split.

Try a worked example

Select Interior Lounge and move relief from 80% to 10%. The renderer lowers text-shadow alpha from 0.56 to 0.07 and highlight alpha from 0.24 to 0.03. This is a drawing-strength setting, not emboss depth in millimeters. Fine and Standard stitch choices use the same 12-pixel loop; only Minimal changes the stitch color.

Two cars, two different dates

Kith’s August 17, 2026 announcement describes a restored 2000 E53 and a one-of-one 2027 X5. It identifies Titanium Silver Metallic on the former and Frozen Titanium Silver with black monogram leather on the latter. Use the controls as a visual comparison

The spotlight moves the center of a radial gradient using sine and cosine. The comparison slider clips two authored outlines; it does not align measured body dimensions. Interior colors, relief percentages, RGB values and stitch styles outside the documented baseline remain design choices. The silver gradient itself is not a calibrated color sample.

Export saves the selected state and its limitations. It does not certify a chassis number, paint code, event appearance, production availability or a manufacturer-approved build. Follow the source links for photographs and recorded details rather than treating the canvas as evidence.
