Which outputs follow from assumptions, and which require measured evidence?
Compare the stored vehicle scenarios, change one setting, and inspect how the parameter summary changes. The animation, grip indices, handling labels and acceleration results use authored formulas rather than recorded vehicle telemetry or a validated chassis model.
Independent educational demonstration. Trim labels do not verify every specification for a particular year, market or vehicle. Tire friction, suspension coefficients, boost gains and fixed drivetrain splits are assumptions. The JSON is a parameter summary, not a complete BeamNG vehicle, measured dyno report or tuning recommendation.
For the default 540i scenario, boost equals its stored 1.10-bar baseline and the stock multiplier is 1.00. The power formula gives 335 × (0.4 + 0.6 × 1) = 335 hp; torque gives 450 × (0.35 + 0.65 × 1) = 450 Nm. The lateral formula uses 1.15 × 0.96 × (1 + 3 × 0.02) = 1.17024, displayed as 1.17 g. The last result is a formula output, not a measured tire capability.
BMW’s U.S. release for the 2019 M5 Competition reports 617 hp at 6,000 rpm and a fully variable M xDrive transfer case. Its 0–60 mph figure does not use the same endpoint as this tool’s 0–100 km/h output. Check model year, market, power unit and test definition before comparing numbers. A fixed 30:70 or 40:60 label here is a scenario description, not a measurement of the production control system. BMW: 2019 M5 Competition U.S. release
Peak power and torque scale with boost ratio and tune multipliers. The drawn power shape uses a sine function and the torque shape uses a separate plateau, so the drawing does not enforce the physical power–torque–RPM relationship. There is no measured dyno sample, drivetrain-loss estimate, fuel or thermal model. Redline changes the display domain without increasing the stored peak output.
The handling label thresholds a weighted front-roll index combining stored spring and anti-roll-bar settings. The coefficients do not convert these quantities into a measured chassis stiffness. Grip and slalom results omit load sensitivity, alignment, temperature, road surface and many other effects. Record the changed input and resulting output before drawing a conclusion.
Pirelli describes Trofeo R as a treaded tire approved for road use with specific usage limitations. A label comparing its shoulder to a competition slick does not make it a slick. The fixed coefficient and ideal slip angle in this demo remain unverified scenarios. Pirelli: Trofeo R product and usage guidance
BeamNG documents deformable vehicle structures built from nodes and beams, with additional sections describing components. This export contains grouped parameter values but no node-and-beam structure. Keep it as a comparison record; it is not proof of a loadable or validated vehicle mod. BeamNG: introduction to JBeam
The summary includes peak output, suspension settings, tire assumptions and benchmark values. It does not contain the animation’s time-series telemetry, a sampled dyno curve or a complete test run. Copy and download expose the same summary.
Changing trim resets some trim-dependent settings but retains the tune, tire, damper and maneuver choices. The M5 preset selects an authored stage-one scenario, not a factory-stock reference. Reset invokes the stock 540i preset and does not reset the maneuver or animation timer. Use the displayed controls and export to record the actual state.
Dated manufacturer context, power specification and variable M xDrive description.
Product classification and limits, not the demo’s friction coefficients.
Node-and-beam vehicle structure, distinct from a parameter summary.
