What evidence would make these comparisons meaningful?
The 60 background points are generated from chosen normal distributions, rounded to whole numbers and clipped at zero. The 3-hit, 3-RBI marker and year-slot records are retained examples. No underlying game-level sample establishes league averages, percentiles or a player forecast.
The former 2025 Minnesota / seven-run win claim conflicts with the linked official game record. The numeric fixtures remain for exploring the interface, clearly separated from verified history. The runs-score lookup has no fitted sample or validation.
Try a worked example
The table stores 81% at seven runs and 48% at four runs: a 33-point difference between authored entries. Moving the runs control changes only this lookup. It does not change the year slot, example marker or synthetic dots, and it adds no new evidence about a real game.
Know what the random dots represent
D3 provides normal random generators. This page creates 30 “leadoff” examples around hits 1.2 and RBI 0.4, and 30 “cleanup” examples around hits 1.0 and RBI 0.8. Different spreads, rounding and zero-clipping change the resulting counts; these centers are not sourced league averages. D3: Random generators
The force layout moves points apart to reduce overlap. Pixel distance from an axis is therefore not an exact statistical difference; hover reads the stored integer values. The current synthetic sample is retained across reset and resize. A fresh load generates a new sample.
Drag the example marker to explore the coordinates. On release it returns to 3 hits and 3 RBI. That snap-back restores the fixture, not an authenticated Bobby Witt Jr. result.
A runs-only score omits game context
MLB win expectancy considers inning, score, outs, baserunners and historical situations. This runs-only lookup lacks those inputs. MLB: Win expectancy
For a real comparison, identify the game date and opponent, obtain box-score records, define which batting-order positions are included, and count the observed sample. Separate player hits and RBI from team runs. Do not rank the example marker against randomized dots as if they were empirical league percentiles.
The year control selects example records, not a verified historical database. Arrow keys move chronologically through the labels; clicking or dragging selects the nearest plotted slot. PNG export captures the selected view and its example-data scope. Local browser storage remembers controls; it is not a live feed.
