Find the actual requirements
Read the posting and separate core skills from boilerplate. The word matcher can highlight terms, but you decide which requirements matter.
Tailoring means making relevant true experience easier to find. Start from the posting, identify the evidence you already have and rewrite only where the result remains accurate.

For each skill you have, point to a project, task or outcome you can explain in an interview. Do not add a term just because it appeared in the posting.
If a bullet would benefit from a number, retrieve the real metric or use accurate qualitative wording. A plausible percentage is still an invented achievement.
Review dates, contact details and the final file format. Copying tailored text is not proof the submission system parsed it correctly.
A posting mentions SQL and stakeholder reporting. If your resume describes weekly reporting but omits the tool you actually used, add that truthful detail. If you never used SQL, record the gap rather than claiming it.

This browser tool compares words using an explicitly mechanical method. It does not simulate a real employer's ATS, understand qualifications, predict interviews or know whether a claim is true. Inputs are not automatically saved or uploaded.
A useful resume match identifies requirements you can support with real experience. Paste a resume and a job description to inspect overlapping terms, missing terms and formatting signals. The tool gives evidence you can review, not a mysterious employability score.
Terms are lowercased and matched as whole tokens after punctuation splitting. Common function words are excluded. Exact word overlap can miss synonyms and include irrelevant words; inspect the evidence yourself.
Inputs are processed in this page. Nothing is submitted to the app or a business. Download a result to keep it; this page does not automatically save your work.
