The 2026 Shift
Beginning December 2026, the U.S. government will implement automatic registration for men aged 18 to 26. This simulator tests the mobilization logic the Selective Service System uses to determine the order of induction based on birth dates.
How it Works
Each capsule represents a day of the year. In a national emergency, a random drawing determines the sequence in which men are called. Priority #1 is the first group to be processed for induction. This simulation uses a physics-based randomization engine.
Historical Context
The 1969 draft lottery was the first since WWII. It determined the order of call for men born between 1944 and 1950. The first date drawn was September 14, which became Priority #001. Use the tabs above to compare modern simulations with historical results.
