Founder balance measures concentration, not fitness. A higher value means ancestry is spread more evenly across the founders represented in this registry under an unrelated-founder assumption.

Real breeding decisions also require mean kinship, inbreeding coefficients, genomic evidence, age, health, behavior, transport constraints, reproductive history, and habitat suitability. The highest narrow score is not an automatic recommendation.
