Marvel Rivals Infinity War PVP Mode Breakdown

Scheduled for Season 10.5 on October 9th, this PVP mode breaks standard 6v6 composition rules, dividing the arena into a 6-duo free-for-all contest where teams compete for the possession of the six Infinity Stones.

Six-Duo Dynamic Architecture

Instead of typical payload push or point capture, 12 players operate in 6 isolated pairs. The primary win condition revolves around holding stone thresholds or executing an elimination sweep during the Climax Surge.

  • Role Balance: Pairings usually need at least one Vanguard (Tank) or Duelist (DPS) backed by a high-mobility Strategist (Support).
  • Aggro Radius: Engaging a team without stone vision leaves your duo susceptible to third-party pincer attacks.
  • Duo Revive: When a partner falls, a 7-second anchor window allows the surviving partner to channel a revival tether.

Infinity Stone Combat Perks

Each stone alters player movement, cooldown frequency, or burst potential. Holding multiple stones stacks exponential passive energy, but makes the duo visible on global radar.

Stone Granted Power
Space Short-range phase blink & gravity warp snare
Reality Holographic decoy mirrors & terrain inversion
Power +40% kinetic burst impact & barrier penetration
Mind Global infrared wallhack & psychic disorientation
Time Instant 4s cooldown rewind & temporal speed aura
Soul Life-steal vampirism & emergency fatal lethal buffer

Synergy & Stance Optimization

Tactical stances dictate AI agent routing in this simulator:

  • Aggressive Stone Rush: Targets closest uncaptured stone node regardless of skirmish density.
  • Perimeter Ambush: Patrols outer cover, waiting for two enemy duos to commit to a firefight before engaging.
  • Kingmaker Fortify: Focuses defensive abilities directly onto stone shrine pillars to out-sustain competitors.
  • Assassin Hit-and-Run: Harasses isolated duos carrying stones to force immediate drops.
