Synchronized Channel Telemetry
Motegi's Stop-and-Go Masterclass
The Mobility Resort Motegi (formerly Twin Ring Motegi) features four massive braking zones connected by acceleration straights. Marc Marquez's historic tally of premier-class wins here is driven by his trademark ability to trail-brake deep into apexes at 66° lean angles while keeping the rear wheel floating.
Braking Dynamics & The V-Line
Unlike fluid circuits such as Phillip Island or Assen, Motegi rewards the 'V-shape' racing line: brake late and hard in a straight line, square the apex off with maximum lean, and pick the 300hp prototype upright immediately to deploy full tire contact patch on drive-out.
Telemetry Channels Explained
- Front Brake Pressure: Peaks instantly at ~14 bar (-1.8G), gradually releasing as lean angle reaches maximum apex.
- Lean Angle: Michelin front slicks provide peak lateral grip between 62° and 67°.
- Throttle Pick-up: Applied gingerly at apex, with traction control preventing highside snaps until the bike stands past 40°.
Technical Model Specifications & Physics Assumptions
This simulator models real-time bike kinematics using clothoid curve interpolation, centrifugal acceleration \(a_c = v^2 / r\), tire friction ellipse (\(F_{long}^2 + F_{lat}^2 \le \mu^2 F_z^2\)), and aero drag deceleration at velocities exceeding 300 km/h. Calculations reference premier-class 1000cc MotoGP prototypes (~157 kg dry weight + 65 kg rider).
