A new identity.
A deliberate rollout.

Plan the decisions behind a brand redesign, then connect every changed asset to an owner, approval and release step. The hardest handoff is often between the approved design and the places that still use the old one.

Choose tools for different decisions.

Direct answer: shortlist Miro for facilitated brand discovery, Figma for shared design libraries, Trello for explicit rollout checklists, and Brandfolder for asset governance. They solve different parts of a rebrand. The useful choice depends on where your current handoff fails; this is documentation-based editorial guidance, not a product benchmark.

Discover together

Bring stakeholder observations into one workshop. Record the decision and its approver, not just the moodboard everyone liked.

Publish deliberately

An approved identity is a controlled source, not automatic migration of every site, template or package.

Retire the old version

Assign verification and retirement work alongside creation. Otherwise teams can keep finding and using obsolete assets.

Tool / roleDocumented capabilityPractical selection test
Miro / workshopIts workshop guide documents boards, sticky notes, templates, presentation and voting. Voting and some facilitation features have plan restrictions. Official workshop guidance.Choose when distributed discovery is the gap. Test guest access and record decisions after the session; a board alone does not approve an identity.
Figma / design sourceComponents, styles and variables can be published as a library for reuse; publication and access depend on the file and plan context. Official library publishing guide.Choose when digital design consistency is the gap. Test a change in a consuming file; published design changes do not automatically deploy production code.
Trello / rollout trackingCards can contain checklists, completed items and copied checklist contents. Official checklist documentation.Choose when handoffs need visible task completion. Agree what each completed item proves. This guide does not claim Trello calculates your dependency schedule.
Brandfolder / asset governanceIts official asset-management article describes custom fields and, with Simple Workflow enabled, pending approval for uploaded assets and asset comments. Official asset workflow article.Choose when finding and approving distributed assets is the gap. The source is older: confirm current availability, permissions and retirement behavior in your actual account before relying on it.

Your rebrand, with owned asset handoffs.

Assign a task owner, estimate its elapsed calendar days and enter the IDs it depends on. The tool validates the dependency graph, computes earliest completion from your estimates and shows what is ready now. Marking a prerequisite complete updates readiness. Use one task per touchpoint or asset batch. It does not invent risk scores, budgets, labor savings or approval certainty.

Plan and readiness preview

Local browser processing. No data is sent to a platform and no messages or automations are activated. The schedule allows independent tasks to run in parallel without resource or working-day constraints. Completed tasks remain in the original-duration schedule; readiness reflects their current status. Export before closing the tab.

A rebrand lives in its handoffs.

Inventory destinations, not just files

List website templates, product interfaces, sales decks, email signatures, social artwork, print materials and partner portals. For each task, name the actual destination and owner. A logo file count does not reveal all the places it appears.

Define the release gate

Record which decision must precede asset creation, which approval precedes rollout, and which check proves the new version is in use. Use separate tasks when one approval governs several independent asset batches.

Connect design to implementation

Figma library publication is a design-source operation. Plan the corresponding engineering or content change separately, along with its own verification. Treat a consuming-file update and a production deployment as distinct handoffs.

Make retirement explicit

Add tasks for removing old templates from shared drives, replacing partner downloads, and communicating approved source locations. Keep a recovery copy where your organization requires it. This is workflow advice, not a guarantee of compliance or removal across every system.

Interpret the calculation honestly

The planner starts each task after its latest prerequisite’s estimated finish. Independent work can run in parallel with unlimited capacity. Durations are editable elapsed calendar days; no holidays, staffing, external lead times or deadlines are modeled. Completion changes readiness, not the original-duration schedule. Do not treat its earliest finish as a promised launch date.

Plan for the exceptions.

Missing or circular prerequisites

Unknown task IDs or circular chains block exports. A launch cannot wait for its own verification and still have a valid sequence.

Completed before approval

A done task with unfinished prerequisites triggers a warning. Review whether an exception was intended instead of silently accepting it.

Complex rollout constraints

This planner does not model staff capacity, legal decisions, printing queues or regional requirements. Add relevant owned tasks and use your real systems for those constraints.

Planning example, not a testimonial

Your website and sales deck can migrate in parallel after identity approval. Launch waits for both checks, not whichever team finishes first.

How should I compare subscriptions?

List who needs access, where approved assets live, guest requirements, reusable libraries and workflow permissions. Verify current entitlements with each vendor and compare against your existing stack. Avoid buying four tools when one missing approval or owner is the actual problem.

Does this migrate files or perform an AI risk audit?

No. It creates a local owned rollout plan from your inputs. It validates dependencies and exports the plan; it neither modifies assets nor infers brand risk.
