Keep the reference short and useful

A timeline should help you retrieve evidence, not become a second unstructured copy of every receipt and conversation. Use references that you can map to files you control.

Put it into practice

Name the document you can find

A short file name or case number can be enough to locate the evidence. Include the event description separately so the reference does not have to carry the entire story.

Leave unnecessary identifiers out

The browser makes no upload request, but downloaded files can still be copied or viewed on a shared device. Avoid adding full payment details, passwords or private account information when a less sensitive reference will do.

Check the mapping before sharing

Open the original document when preparing a follow-up. If its content does not support your description, revise the event rather than expecting a tidy timeline to make the assertion true. Export only the entries relevant to the recipient's actual question.

A worked example

A reference such as 'return-tracking-oct03.pdf' may be enough for your own preparation. It is still your responsibility to retain the file and verify what the tracking evidence actually says.

Refund, return and booking case timeline organizer

An administrative case is easier to follow when dates, events and evidence references share one chronological record. Enter what actually happened to create an ordered timeline and CSV export. The tool sorts your notes; it does not verify a business's response or compute legal deadlines.

Dates must be real YYYY-MM-DD calendar dates. Evidence references should identify your own receipt or correspondence without pasting unnecessary personal data. Elapsed days describe the entered sequence, not an entitlement, escalation policy or guaranteed response time.

Inputs are processed in this page. Nothing is submitted to the app or a business. Download a result to keep it; this page does not automatically save your work.

What to keep in mind

This browser tool neither contacts a company nor submits a cancellation, refund or booking change. Its output is your editable preparation. A planned reminder does not extend a contractual deadline or prove a request was received.
