Founder Engineering Spec Note

The PopSocket base uses a proprietary washable polyurethane gel elastomer (contact area: 1.91 sq inches). Under pure parallel shear, vacuum micro-suction paired with high van der Waals interfacial attraction holds up to 42.5 lbs on pristine glass. Failure happens rapidly if pulled at an acute peel angle (>25°), as leverage concentrates peel stress on the perimeter lip.
