Ras Tanura Redirection (Hormuz)
Kpler Logistics Verification: Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline (Petroline, ~5M bpd capacity) allows crude to bypass the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz directly to Yanbu on the Red Sea. An unmitigated pipeline outage cuts Yanbu maritime loadings by 2.5M to 2.7M bpd. Diverting up to 3.0M bpd to Ras Tanura successfully protects net global crude supplies, but inflates tanker exposure through the Iranian chokepoint at the Strait of Hormuz to nearly 80% of national seaborne exports.
