Verify the number before using it

A convincing percentage can make a resume bullet sound stronger without making it true. Review new numbers against actual evidence before retaining a rewritten passage.

Put it into practice

Compare with the real original

Paste the original bullet and the proposed revision into the word audit. A new digit-containing token appears in the review list when its occurrence count increases. That is a mechanical signal, not a determination that the number is wrong.

Find the supporting record

A measured result should connect to a report, project record or calculation you can explain. If the revision supplies a number you cannot substantiate, remove it or replace the sentence with accurate qualitative wording; do not choose a smaller invented number.

Read the surrounding claim

A real percentage can still be misleading if the revision changes what it measured or who achieved it. Verify timeframe, denominator and your contribution as well as the token. The browser does not understand those relationships for you.

A worked example

A report may show a 40% increase for a whole team. Claiming that you personally caused the increase is a separate assertion that needs its own support.

Resume revision word audit and new-number review

A polished revision can quietly add a claim you never supplied. Compare an original passage with a revised one to inspect added and removed word occurrences, with a separate list of new tokens containing digits. The tool highlights changes for your review; it cannot decide whether a claim is true.

This is a case-sensitive word-count comparison, not a positional or semantic diff. Punctuation and capitalization affect matching. Numbers may be legitimate dates, versions or measurements; being highlighted does not mean they are false. No ATS or hiring score is produced.

Inputs are processed in this page. Nothing is submitted to the app or a business. Download a result to keep it; this page does not automatically save your work.

What to keep in mind

This browser tool compares words using an explicitly mechanical method. It does not simulate a real employer's ATS, understand qualifications, predict interviews or know whether a claim is true. Inputs are not automatically saved or uploaded.
