Use totals for the first question
Subtract entered commitments and breaks from the working window to see whether the task volume is plausible. This calculation can expose overflow before you spend time arranging individual events.
A daily total is useful for checking capacity, but it does not describe when meetings occur. Treat a weekly allocation as one planning layer rather than a synchronized calendar.

Two hours of remaining time may exist as four short gaps rather than one continuous block. The browser does not receive event start times, travel positions or calendar permissions, so it cannot establish that a two-hour task has a usable slot.
Use your real calendar to place the work, preserve transitions and respect the finish boundary. If the placement reveals fragmentation, revise the capacity assumptions rather than claiming the original allocation already accounted for it.
A day budget shows 120 free minutes, but meetings divide them into small fragments. A 90-minute deep-work task fitting the total does not prove a 90-minute uninterrupted block exists.
A task list can exceed a week even when every day looks open. Enter each day's window, fixed commitments and breaks, then place whole tasks in your priority order. The planner assigns each task to the first entered day with enough remaining capacity and leaves oversized work visible as overflow.
This is a duration budget, not calendar integration or deadline-aware scheduling. Tasks are not split automatically. Transition time is added between tasks placed on the same day. A negative starting capacity means entered commitments and breaks exceed that day's window.
Inputs are processed in this page. Nothing is submitted to the app or a business. Download a result to keep it; this page does not automatically save your work.
This web planner uses the commitments and estimates you enter; it does not read your calendar. Its schedule is arithmetic, not a personalized assessment of energy or a promise that a task will finish on time.
Daypart's listing describes realistic plans around an existing calendar, transition time and firm personal boundaries. Its stated workflow makes room for work rather than treating every open minute as available focus.
