Give the week an honest budget

A task list can exceed a week even when every day looks open. Enter each day's window, fixed commitments and breaks, then place whole tasks in your priority order. The planner assigns each task to the first entered day with enough remaining capacity and leaves oversized work visible as overflow.

Put it into practice

Budget each day separately

Use the actual working window and total commitments for each entered day. Breaks remain part of the budget rather than disappearing to make the task list fit.

Put real priorities first

The planner checks tasks in your entered order and searches days in their entered order. This is explicit first-fit arithmetic, not a model assessing task importance.

Resolve the overflow yourself

A task marked move or rescope was not allocated. Change the scope, priority or available window deliberately instead of treating an unassigned task as quietly scheduled.

A worked example

A day with 480 minutes, 120 minutes of commitments and 45 minutes of breaks starts with 315 minutes. Two tasks also need the transition time entered between them; the calendar drawing cannot create extra capacity.

Weekly task capacity allocation with visible overflow

A task list can exceed a week even when every day looks open. Enter each day's window, fixed commitments and breaks, then place whole tasks in your priority order. The planner assigns each task to the first entered day with enough remaining capacity and leaves oversized work visible as overflow.

This is a duration budget, not calendar integration or deadline-aware scheduling. Tasks are not split automatically. Transition time is added between tasks placed on the same day. A negative starting capacity means entered commitments and breaks exceed that day's window.

What to keep in mind

This web planner uses the commitments and estimates you enter; it does not read your calendar. Its schedule is arithmetic, not a personalized assessment of energy or a promise that a task will finish on time.
