Write what matters without grading it

A reflective worksheet should leave room for your own meaning. Naming a value does not require turning it into a daily rule or a test of whether you are a good person.

Put it into practice

Describe the direction

Use your own words for what matters in the situation, such as connection, curiosity or care. The tool does not classify your answer or score whether the value is appropriate.

Notice the language of the action

A specific possible step is different from 'I must always do this'. List a few options rather than treating the first idea as an obligation. It is acceptable for the worksheet to remain a set of possibilities.

Keep the choice yours

Review the resources and constraints, not just the available time. A time-fitting action is not an automated recommendation. Groundwork's listing positions its journal as reflection rather than diagnosis or treatment; this browser companion follows the same boundary.

A worked example

If learning matters to you, reading one page may be a possible step. Missing that step today does not prove the value is false or create a debt you have to repay tomorrow.

Values and small-action planning worksheet

A value is easier to act on when you can name a small next step. Write what matters in the situation, list actions and their constraints, and compare their entered durations with the time you have. The worksheet helps you organize your own decision without evaluating your mental health.

The time check is simple arithmetic. It cannot tell whether an action is psychologically helpful, physically suitable or feasible in your circumstances. Entries remain in this page until you download them; there is no automatic save or human monitoring.

Inputs are processed in this page. Nothing is submitted to the app or a business. Download a result to keep it; this page does not automatically save your work.

What to keep in mind

This worksheet supports reflection; it cannot diagnose or treat a condition and is not monitored by a person. It does not produce automated psychological judgments. Browser extensions or a shared device may be able to access text on a page.

Groundwork's listing describes an iPhone journal with thought records, values check-ins and behavioral experiments. It states that journal entries remain on the device and that the app is not therapy or a diagnostic tool.
