A month of ideas.
A clear next step.

Original calendar illustration linking post ideas with a monthly plan

Canva connects designs to supported scheduling options. Later focuses on placing media into scheduled slots. Notion organizes dated database entries. Storyflow describes an AI-assisted planning canvas. Choose by the task you need to complete, rather than treating planning and publishing as the same job.

Canva, Later, Notion and Storyflow

This comparison uses current official documentation and product pages. Recommendations are editorial workflow judgments, not a claimed hands-on benchmark.

Canva

Canva’s Content Planner guide describes scheduling designs from the planner or editor. Its documented workflow schedules a design to one social platform at a time, and account eligibility and publishing options vary.

Consider it when: you make the visual in Canva and want to schedule it through a supported connection.

Check: the actual Share menu, connected account, format support and permissions for your subscription.

Later

Later’s Quick Schedule guide describes recurring time slots and adding media to them. Instagram and TikTok Quick Schedule posts default to Notification Publishing; the guide explains manually changing them to Auto Publish if that is enabled.

Consider it when: your content is ready and the main job is placing posts into a repeatable scheduling calendar.

Check: publishing eligibility and media support for each connected profile before assuming a post will publish automatically.

Notion

Notion’s calendar-view documentation describes displaying database entries with a Date property on a calendar. This makes it useful for a planning record with notes, owners and dates.

Consider it when: your team needs a flexible content backlog and editorial record alongside other project notes.

Check: database access and the separate steps required to move approved content into your publishing workflow.

Storyflow

Storyflow’s product page describes drafting content pillars, ideas and a posting calendar as cards on one AI-assisted board, with editing, view-only sharing and PDF export.

Consider it when: the problem is shaping the plan and keeping creative context beside the ideas.

Check: generated suggestions against your real audience and current capabilities. A planned posting calendar does not by itself establish a connected social-publishing workflow.

Prices and engagement improvements are not quoted here. Confirm current access and publishing behavior directly. A useful combination can be a planning record plus a publishing tool; it depends on your team’s actual handoff.

Build an owned month of posts

Enter post ideas, dates, channels, pillars and owners. FullCalendar renders the actual month or post list; Luxon validates dates and ICAL.js creates a real calendar export. The four demo posts are examples, not AI suggestions or a recommended posting frequency.

The calendar is an all-day planning record, without publishing times or timezone conversions. ICS includes all posts and their current local status; importing it creates planning events, not social posts. Changing the month does not silently move existing dates. Use the reset button for demo posts in the chosen month, or edit your actual dates. Optional saving stays in this browser until deleted. No caption upload, social login, publishing or synchronization occurs.

Keep the month connected to a useful promise

Define what the audience needs

Choose a specific task or question the content should help with. A pillar names a recurring theme; it should not become a reason to repeat the same answer in slightly different words.

Assign the making and review work

Give each post an owner and a clear asset requirement. A caption idea is not a finished image or video. Allow room for review and the platform’s real format requirements.

Move ready content into the publisher

Confirm the connected profile, scheduled time, media format and final copy in your chosen publishing tool. This studio’s Ready status is your label and does not verify those external conditions.

Learn from actual results

Record the real published URL and the result relevant to your goal. A full calendar is not evidence of useful content or audience growth. Use what you learn to revise the next month.

Know what the calendar means

Can I schedule a real post here?

No. This is a local planning studio. It does not connect to social accounts or publish. Use the exported record as a handoff and verify the real schedule in your chosen publishing tool.

What does a duplicate slot mean?

Multiple posts on the same date and channel are reported for review. They are not automatically rejected; you may intentionally plan more than one post. The count is an exact match of your entered date and channel, not a performance recommendation.

Can I restore captions and owners?

Yes. Export JSON and restore it here. CSV contains the current post fields; ICS carries the idea, date, channel and caption context in calendar events. Review private or unfinished material before sharing an export.

Plan a month you can actually hand off

Keep the useful idea, owner and asset requirement together, then verify the actual publishing step separately.
